Suspended in front of a lilac flower that peeks out from behind it, the drop reveals a butterfly hiding among the petals, magnifying the unsuspected beauty of nature.

To discover the optical illusion of magnification and distortion, just look through the clear, 5% recycled glass bottle with its simple, perfectly round shape. It’s a chance to see things in a new light, to make way for poetry and imagination. The spray nozzle is built into the white, soft-textured cap that releases the fragrance with a light touch. A Drop d’Issey’s drop-shaped bottle is designed to be laid on its side.

For A Drop d’Issey, the perfumer imagined a modern lilac, a full-bodied, floral fragrance at the intersection of nature and technology. Lilac is a uncatchable flower, meaning its scent cannot be extracted from the flower in nature and must be recreated by the creative talents of a perfumer. Using green chemistry, they make the most of highly innovative techniques while protecting actual lilacs since the flowers don’t need to be harvested. In the top notes, Damask rose adds a pure, sheer floral facet. In the heart of the fragrance, lilac is enhanced by a note of ethically sourced orange blossom and an almond milk accord. In the base notes, a musky accord meets upcycled cedarwood and vanilla to give the fragrance a full-bodied finish.
